Residency and Concert at Hotchkiss

Howard will be Artist-in Residence at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT from Febraury 4-8, 2014.

During the residency, Howard will work with students and faculty in a variety of classes, talks and workshops, drawing from his experience and work as a songwriter, playwright, theater scholar, composer for stage and film, musical interpreter, performing artist and stage director.

The week will culminate on Saturday evening, February 8, with a performance in Katherine M. Elfers Hall, where Howard will be joined by his band, including Kenny Bentley (sousaphone), Scott Barkan (electric guitar), Mark Williams (trombone) and Moses Patrou (drums).  Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be collected to benefit the Little Guild of St. Frances, a no-kill animal shelter in West Cornwall, CT.

The "BASEMENT TAPES" PROJECT Goes to Erie

Howard and the band recently performed a one-night-only version of the "Basement Tapes" Project at Mercyhurst Institute in Erie, PA.

Read about the show in the ERIE READER (where it made the top of the paper's "TO DO" list") and in the ERIE TIMES NEWS.

Go onto Facebook to see a shot of the band hanging out backstage. That's Mazz Swift, Jeremy "Bean" Clemons, Howard, and Scott Barkan standing (L to R), and our man Nathan Peck sitting down after a long day.
